I dont recommend updating to the ios 4 unless it is a 3gs or iphone 4. It is real laggy on the 3g. You have to turn of the multi task.
I’m running it on my 3G. I haven’t noticed a huge slowdown. I’m using BiteSMS and that takes a while to load sometimes… but only when I enter into the app itself, not when I get and send text messages.
